Launch Service

HYC Launches, Rose Standish and Lugger III operate in the North and South mooring areas surrounding Hingham Yacht Club and can be reached on VHF channel 71. Summer hours of operation (June 22 through Labor Day) are 0800 to 2200 daily. As the mooring area has expanded please make sure captain and crew of all boats are ready to disembark when the launch picks up at your vessel. When possible - during busy periods - one launch will be designated in the south mooring area and one for the north area. Please also try to gather all crew members on the main float before leaving the club to reduce repeat trips. Club dinghies are available from the Opti dock area for use during non scheduled launch operating hours. HYC Launch service is not available to the inner harbor.

Dock Services

Docking assistance: HYC Deck hands will make every effort to assist in docking boats. Assistance can also be requested by calling the Pilot House on VHF Channel 71.
Ice: Available at dock next to ramp leading to main float. Cash or club charge allowed.
Trash: Located in southeast corner of parking lot next to club house.
Pump – out facility: Pump out available by calling Hingham Harbor master at 781-741-1450.
Marine Phone Numbers: (divers, mechanics etc.) Available in Pilot house on HYC Deck.
Showers and heads: Located at deck area near club main entrance.

Docking and Dingy Routine

Sail and motor boats

HYC docks are available for short term landings with a maximum stay of 30 minutes unless approved by club steward. Overnight stays are prohibited - unauthorized overnight stays on the Dock are subject to a $25.00 charge per vessel per night. Gas and Diesel are available to club members and the general public by docking at North end of main dock on the channel side. Cash, credit cards or club charge number allowed for payment.

Dinghies

There is a limited amount of space on a first come - first serve basis for temporary tie up of dinghies on the north end of the Opti dock (parking lot side). Please be considerate when using this space as area is in high demand.

Moorings

Mooring service is provided by Neil Foley at Quinn Marine Service 781-727-5240 or Dana Baxter at Baxter Mooring & Launch Services, 781-254-8555.

Guests & Guest Moorings

HYC moorings are available to outside guests on a first come – first serve basis. Please hail HYC launch on channel 71 for service. Overnight mooring fee is $25.00 per night. Hingham Bay is very shallow and private anchoring is at owner’s risk. All guests of HYC members must sign in at pilot house.
