Hingham Yacht Club has a rich history of racing on Hingham Bay. Over the decades members have competed in numerous classes of one design and PHRF boats and can claim many national, regional and club titles. Regattas such as the Rhoades Bowl, Hingham Bay Jr. Regatta, Hitchcock and North Channel Confrontation are but a few of the regularly scheduled summer events. In addition, our cruiser/racer PHRF fleet can be seen battling it out on Wednesday and the Rhodes 19 fleet on Thursday evenings through out the spring, summer and fall. Rounding out the competition is our highly competitive International 210 fleet which enjoys an enduring presence and draws competitors from across the country.
Like all clubs, HYC relies on volunteers to both organize and run all of our racing events. The Race Committee is great way to participate in race management while having the best view of top notch sailing.
